Are You Blogging For Money or Your Passion For Writing

This is one of the biggest questions arises when someone starts blogging. People ask, are you blogging for money or is there any passion related to writing?

In the past few years, I have noticed many people trying to find an answer to this question. People are making a living just because of blogging.

Can you consider them as the money making blogger or someone who has followed his/her passion and built a career in blogging?

What’s the exact concern you should have while running a blog?

Starting a blog doesn’t only bring a space to share your thoughts, there are many other practical issues which should be dealt with.

Why do People Ask Such Question

When you reach a certain level of blogging, people start asking as if what’s the goal you have been chasing those years.

It’s because somewhere they have a keen interest in your financial status.

It may not apply to everyone but I am talking about a certain percentage which is quite high and you know it. Every newbie tries to explore the secret of a reputed blogger.

Curiosity is the biggest devil: An answer is required to calm it downClick To Tweet

Yes, people need to get answered. They want to know what’s so special about any other blogger who is making money.

They raise a question to themselves, to their native bloggers as if how blogging for money can get included in their court of the playground.

Everyone wants to know about these things.

  • How to start making money
  • Why do people say blogging can be lucrative
  • Is there a certain time for monetization
  • Why is he making money and I don’t
  • Is he focusing only on adding affiliate links or the quality
  • Why am I thinking about giving up

These questions can ruin a blogger’s career. I get messages, emails to clarify my post publishing schedule and how much money BloggingLove is flourishing with.

Don’t you think there should be some different approach to successful blogging?

What Should You Exactly do to Avoid From Being Distracted

No doubt that such kinds of thoughts divert your focus from your blog to others.

But why are you thinking about anyone else? Focus on your blog own blog to embrace your blogging skills. People are reading your blog, join the force and feel a lightening aura appearing around it.

Thinking about something else as of how they’re doing the blogging for money and why you can’t. That’s all useless.

There are many reasons why you shouldn’t care about any blog but yours.

Let me mention some things which can help you.

  • Write, write and write
  • Connect with your readers
  • Don’t feel low
  • Think about your blogging career and why you started
  • Think about providing the Quality
  • Consistency is the Goddess

You get demotivated only when you forget about the reason why you started blogging. It’s a famous quote to remember which makes sense.

You may have noticed many bloggers start with an enthusiastic approach but within a few months, they give up.

It’s because their money making dream was over. You can make money only when you work for it. Blogging is one of the most lucrative careers right now.

If you do it right, no one can stop you from making a hell lot of money.

People are shifting their business to this online world and you’re going to provide the resources to them. What’s so special about the blogs like WPBeginner, CopyBlogger etc?

  1. Making money as a blogger is certainly nice, but the money shouldn’t drive the process! I think bloggers need to start from a place of passion first and then everything else falls into place. Everyone has different backgrounds and part of the fun is learning all about what everyone’s unique stories are!

    1. Hey Joy,

People have different perspectives related to blogging. We can only handle our own thoughts and the motive we have behind our blogs. Following your passion is the best you can do because it will bring you money eventually.

  6. Hi Ravi,

I don’t think that there is anything wrong with making money with your blog. However, I don’t think that you should enter a niche unless you are passionate about it and are willing to continue learning.

We all know that you’re not going to see the money overnight. It’s going to take a long time to start seeing sustainable profits. (well for most bloggers anyway)

So you’re going to have to keep pumping out content, even when no one is reading your blog posts at first.

I think right now is the best time to start a blog, just don’t quit your day job.

Thanks for sharing, have a great day ?

  7. Hello, Ravi!

Nope, I am not entirely after the money but blogging (and writing) is my passion!

Yes, I do have a full-time job which is also based on the internet but it is too different from the blogging.

Still, I am kicking the blogging. ?

I know blogging is fruitful in the long run (at least for me) and money will follow itself.

But I am not following the money and ain’t my intentions. I want and is following my passion.

Thanks for the best reminding content to ditch the idea of money making blogging because it is the time for the real relationship-making blogging!

  8. I dig your insight Ravi. The more I focus on doing what I do for the love, or the passion, or the fun of blogging, the more money I seem to make. When I genuinely dove into giving freely, honing my skills, serving others and enjoying the ride, seeing the work as the reward, things began moving for me financially. Give freely, receive easily.
